It is with great sadness that we learned of the passing of our dear friend, Emmy-nominated actor John Amos. Best known for his roles on Good Times, Roots and Coming to America, Mr. Amos was also a talented writer. During his visits to St. Joseph’s, he took time to read his book, A World Without Color, to our students. His strong and animated delivery captivated even the youngest students, bringing the story to life. He was especially pleased that our specialists transcribed his book into braille so all of our children could enjoy it. His kindness, gentle manner, and sincere compassion for our special students will forever be an inspiration. He will be greatly missed. We extend our most sincere condolences to his family, friends and to all of his fans around the world.
