Celebrating the Season

Celebrating the Season

Long-time donors, the Hudson County Homing Pigeon Club, marked the holiday season with a generous gift to our mission to help support our specialized programs for children with special needs.

(L to R) Supervisor of Education Barbara Porter, Principal Katie Hardgrove, & HC Homing Pigeon Club members Stanley Krawiec, President Vincent Torre, Lynne Earing & St. Joseph’s students.

The talented volunteers from Holiday Express were back this year with their lively brand of entertainment. A holiday concert, special guests & a sleigh full of gifts brought smiles & laughter to every student!

Our friends & supporters from the Seeing Eye-Puppy Project/Eyes of Hope conducted their annual toy drive for our Early Intervention Program. Each year, the group donates more than 100 specialized multi-sensory toys.

St. Joseph’s Facilities Technician Chris Roman who has spearheaded a woodworking class for our Adult Program clients, got them into the holiday spirit with a special seasonal project. Wintry pine trees were constructed & painted for the perfect holiday gift. Wood for the project was donated by @dogoodlikejoewood.

Students’ voices filled the air at the Hudson County tree lighting ceremony. The popular event, headed by Hudson County Executive Tom DeGise, kicks off the holiday season.
