How Do I Enroll?
When a parent/guardian suspects their child has special needs that may require an individualized educational approach, the parent/guardian should contact their local School District. The New Jersey Department of Education (NJDOE) Parent’s Rights in Special Education handbook, provides important information on this topic.
Referrals to St. Joseph's School for the Blind are made by the local school district’s Child Study Team. The Child Study Team provides St. Joseph's the student’s records to review. Admission to St. Joseph’s School for the Blind is determined in collaboration with the Child Study Team, parent(s)/guardian(s) and the SJSB admission’s team.
For additional information, or to arrange a visit to the School, please contact the SJSB Social Workers or Principal.
