Lee W. Chang is an experienced litigator admitted in New Jersey and New York with certifications to the federal District of New Jersey and both the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
After serving in the Air Force JAG Corps. as a federal prosecutor and Chief of Civil Law, Lee has been supervising attorneys and defending corporate and individual clients in law firms and as in house counsel for J.P. Morgan Chase Bank in a wide range of cases involving bankruptcy, wrongful foreclosures, immigration, property damage insurance claims, and international commerce and regulatory issues.
Currently, Lee is employed by the City of Jersey City and serves the Municipality as the new Director of the Division of Immigrant Affairs. During the recent Covid pandemic, Lee was named the City’s Covid Crisis Manager to guide schools, such as St. Joseph’s School for the Blind, businesses, and residents through a myriad of ever changing health guidelines. Previously, Lee was the Deputy Assistant Director of Compliance, where he led a small team in developing and implementing the procedures and process of the new Affordable Housing office.
With Lee’s legal, business, and management experience, he looks forward to joining St. Joseph’s Board of Trustees and contribute to its mission.
